I guess we'll have to axe inheritances as well, then. Oh well. ^^

I'm fine with this. In the long run we are all dead anyway.

If you're talking about current haven oathing not working, I can answer this one for you. Nope, a crashing bug was found and as a result of the fix oathing was broken. I mentioned this to loftar on the haven IRC and according to him the fix for this issue will be applied in the next server reboot.

I'm going to have to make one of these for Loftar I guess but this is a good placeholder

Yeah, this is the most important aspect of inheritance, and IMO should be the only one.

I get the point of trying to force everyone to solo a while but honestly I did that W6 and thought it was ok. W7 I started out with bunch of friends and suffice to say, single player games are made for that and this is supposed to be an mmo.

Xcom approaching a game from the single player experience first fits an MMO model. Most MMO's do not advise instantly joining bigger groups. You should always get a feel for the game so you have something to offer a group. From what I have read so far it does not hinder the MMO part at all. We are all still playing and affect a shared world. It only makes selecting who you play with hard.

Do you think everyone who disagrees with you is upset? I'm just pointing out that it is a very farfetched idea, and will directly result in a reduced population.
