Some would say haven has been downhill since w3, but those people left after jorbtar wouldn't listen to their whines about the old LP system, so... :P
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Haven did get progressively worse after world 3, but I'm still here.

Ya, if you take the best game and make it worse, its probobly still the best/good. And its impossible to please everyone anyway.

Pretty much this. The hardest part about progression is the change. You're going to lose people, but you'll also gain people. I'm hoping Hafen gains more rather than loses this time around.

There's always villages looking for people, and im sure there will be in hafen.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Everyone has to deal with the same limitations at the start of w8.
One option would be to walk around until you meet a other traveler, new hermit or small group, and ask, or suggest, joining or working together.

One's there is a sufficiently filled public world-map, you can plan regrouping with those on you wish list.
