It's dead, Jim.

The server appears to have crashed :(

The server last talked to me at Sun Sep 8 14:34:00 2013 (UTC)

Edit: wow that was a quick restart, didn't even see the shutdown phase.

Sorry, the server ran quickly and acutely out of memory while I was away, and was OOM-killed by the kernel. That means a rollback.

How much of a rollback?

I lost a bit of time on the farming I had done earlier which annoys me quite a bit (maybe 30 minutes?). But interestingly I got a tiny compensation for it. The contents of my inventory got duped... Too bad I just had buckets from milking on me.

This really stinks! For the first time ever I have seen data loss in this game. I was harvesting some carrots when I was disconnected and could not log back in (BTW I am also having some ISP issues). When I got back on, the carrots are back in the field, the 2 large chests I had just built are gone but the materials used to make them are still gone!!! I had moved a cupboard from outside to inside a cabin, now it is in both places!!! Obviously the inside cabin maps had been saved to disk but outside where I was still harvesting did not get saved :( :( :( :(.

Edit: I also lost a Q21 traveler's sack that was stored in a basket outside the cabin. It will take considerable time to make the hard leather to replace it. Loftar, is there any way I can get some compensation for the missing items, please?

You're testing an alpha version ... and you're not the only one touched by rollback... and there have been rollbacks, data losses and even complete villages nuked before ...
