Massa wrote:Yes, but to give you an idea of how wonked it is, can you imagine one, or two little people who want to play legit and have the game as it is, cooking individual bricks, kiln by kiln, and stock piling them?
I remember, I did this with multiple clients, bots, and other stuff, stockpiling thousands of bricks. A couple of guys, who were up to no good seemed to break them, as I was a lazy man with only a palisade in an early world, where palisades were still common place.

Especially now, they would have no chance at those bricks, because it'd take so much time, and alternatively, a larger group who bots like mad could just get the bots to slam 300 bricks into 15 kilns, no big deal, over and over again, and within 2 days have enough to build a proper wall, and then the bots just build that too. And forage. And farm. And eat. And drink.

Yeah, it's harder, I don't mind the concept that it'd be harder, but this is impossible for those poor people who have no one and nothing to rely on.

I have made brick walls on enders with no bots.
It's tedious, and would be even more so without shift+scroll, but it's still possible.

Infact I've never botted bricks, since it's so damn easy to make them when you are using two accounts and 20 kilns.
If you set it up right you can make bricks faster than they can be built into a wall, with no bots or any modded client.

It's not impossible to have a palisade and not get raided every few days btw, so a well organised person playing on default can still do everything that is required to play haven.
You basically agreed to what I said, people who want to use bots and modded clients use them, people who don't - there's no one stopping you.

I don't think it's so hard to understand. In the rest of the games you got some rules, can hide behind objects, houses, trees and so, here you can simply disable it all and see through everything, and if you don't everyone will rape your ass in minutes. Of course we will use all the advantages we have, if someone makes a new laser weapon not created by jordb and loftar we will use it because we dont want to die but thats what the rules of the games are for.

Anyways it's a lost battle hafen will have invisible trees, custom clients due to mod's lazyness, bots and maybe laser weapons

Hide option appeared in custom clients not because mean coders wanted to kill everyone hiding behind the trees, but because objects in standart client were a huge pain in the ass. You had to stand on a specific tile to interact with objects behind it. It felt like hell. And those useless green shits, which are not even objects, oh god, I really hated those. I mean thickets. You droped something and this shit appeared to be on the same tile? You're doomed. It is not an object, so you won't get the yellow thingie, when you stand behind. And hiding behind objects never was a world wide lifesaving tactic. Yes, it could be a fun advantage during a raid, but it doesnt worth all the pain it brings, when it comes to building and farming. There should be a balance between being a hard game and being annoying painful boredom.
I'm strongly against botting, when it comes to serious things like foraging (leksar's pearl bot is a good example of game breaking bots), trollmining, etc.
But we need some routine to be simplified. There should be such options as fill the whole barrel at once, eat all the food from the table, pick all the mussels you see by 2 clicks.
As for the game current state, I agree with Arcanist. I have a lot of bots generously provided by coding friends, but I use(or used when I was active) only two: wax harvester and mussels picker. We had our brickwall totaly hand made since w3 and no one died, even if you are a lazy hermit it can't take more than a week, if you have enough will to live.

You can't mod a laser weapon that does more than a bow or sling already does ... as the effects of ranged weapons are determined server side...
And if you used a res file modded to a laser gun you'd be happy to see it in your client and feel strong but your opponent still sees the default res ... and prolly only dies by laughing about your weird behaviour ... :P

Before making such idiotic statements i guess you'd better learn what's possible ...

Not that much retarded too know what Advantage means...and to see what trying to make low arguments stronger with false assumptions is...

Something that everyone is able to use is no Advantage ...

You might remember the discussion when the advantage gained with autoaggro ( in clients that where not open to use for everyone ) was countered by autohearth (which was implemented into Ender immediatly) ... oh what an outcry there was by those that lost their advantage ... somehow yours sounds the same ...

You are right, a lot of the simple tasks like paving is built on the old lp system, so it should really be made automatic or just quicker and less painful.

I love how simple yet effective that idea is, I hope it's added in Hafen.
