Do you think everyone who disagrees with you is upset? I'm just pointing out that it is a very farfetched idea, and will directly result in a reduced population.

No, it's just obvious I disagree, and I've given my reasons, is it three times now, lol. I honestly don't understand what you think is far-fetched about it. You surely don't think I'm the only hermit do you?
I don't really know what else I can say. :)

Edit; I do think initially it will obviously stop some of the players here from rushing to start but I don't think that will last long tbh and I don't think it will be as many as you seem to think.

underrated post.

I want this as well. I want to get rid of alts and bots somehow.

World 3 was one of the best worlds because you always played on your main characters because everything you did gave you LP. My farmer was my fighter as well. we had a village miners who mined on their mains... This world my main only comes online to get curios and if I am ramming or raiding something.

For people who want to play with their friends... what if you when you entered a hearth secret you spawned in a certain quadrant or supergrid... so if I entered a HS I would be at most 1 supergrid away but I would not know if I was N/E/S/W of the intended location.

You have a weird definition of "main" then, considering combat charachter the main is a common thing here though. But I'd say main is the one you're playing with the most.

What magic do you think would make this possible?

For enhearting, I be fine if you can respawn at your old hearth and like 10% of what you had stat wise flat. Nothing can change that. Only thing I like to see is it auto adding your old name with a number at the end so people know you used that option.

Maybe think about some kind of Curio locking system so you need to find or make your own curios... and alts would only be able to make very poor q curios... instead of one crafter per village making curios for everyone. needs to be more thought out though since it would drastically alter training which uses the rare curios currently... Maybe found curios are tradable but crafted ones are locked to the person?

i actually think salem was on the right track with a couple things with regard to alting; in salem, curios only matured while the character was online. while this wouldn't fix everything related to alting, it would be a step in the right direction. it may encourage afk play but with characters online to receive LP there still exists a theoretical chance that they could be killed.
