Hello all, sorry if this is the typical annoying noob question, but today I haven't been able to log on HnH ( could not connect to server message).
I checked the server status and it says :

state crashed
lastbeat 1382611298
globtime 500537862
users 305
chars 302

Is this right? How can there be players online if the server crashed?

yep the server has crashed and the log above shows timestamp, users and chars that where logged in when crashed...

And no it hasn't to do with your Java version...

I'm sorry I should have been more specific with what my problem is.
The exact message I get is "Could not connect to server" which I'm used to getting but before the crash I could just retry and I would connect. For some reason I can't now.
I've been trying since I got back from my class 20 minutes ago.

Grr! Just as I was kicking my cunning plan into action (pave until too tired to walk. Clean flat in tidy, manageable chunks while energy recovers, then pave more stuff) the server tells me THERE IS NOTHING TO DO TODAY BUT CLEAN YOUR FLAT. Bastard.

Maybe you accidentally tried to butcher the tin nuggets while they were in the crucible

No, it is my fault. It crashes everytime I leave my village and get in the worst possible places. Then boom.....usually with a wagon and cow....or in a boat in a lake.
