Server issues: New server

So..... hypothetically, what if you were unlucky enough to be swimming the moment the server crashes?

How long does it usually take to get the server back up, or is it down usually for the rest of the night? I havent played in a long time, and only recently came back. Thanks, just trying to plan my night.

You make a new experience - but if you're lucky the restart sets the server back in time a bit and you'll find your char on the shore just before starting to swim (happened to me once)

Depends on how fast jorb or Loftar can react and if they need to check through logs first to find a reason ... always different noone can tell but Devs

The server went down about 50 minutes ago, and was up after 5 minutes of downtime. However it's been 25 minutes and the server hasnt been shutdown yet. So...

I'm a little confused when you say that the "server hasn't been shutdown yet." I'm still not connecting. But yeah... the cold weather might have something to do with it.

Seems loftar has the server on an auto restart every hour now.
Both restarts were at the same time

the auto restart is prolly connected with him showing at forums - i think he once stated that he doesn't want to auto restart server because of error checking but i might remember wrong or Loftar changed his mind

server gets shutdown
server gets restarted (that's when you're able to log in because the server is "up")
