I found q93 soil node 4 month into the world. No living soul around it, just its location was a bit off the population in expanded area and thats it. So yes, you can always get lucky.

And don't forget how big the world is and that you can always find in-land well that is very good q water (like world 5 had q82 well in wilderness).

For those that get bored there is nothing to stop you creating a wilderness char and doing it all again, the same as you would with a reset. I have my village, another pclaim base and a couple of wilderness chars, one I travel the map with, the other has now made yet another small base, lol. It doesn't have to stop just because you now have a village.

Tbh, playing on those other chars just makes me appreciate my village and renews interest in it - I've never really enjoyed the starting out process as much as I do once i'm established and have more time and freedom to be creative.

I agree with all what you just said. But a world wipe isn't just starting all over again like you would when you create a new character.
A world wipe means a new race to be the best (some people are very competative). A world wipe also means new chances of finding and defending real high quality nodes.
This last one can also be done by expanding the map again, which I personally would love. I like to explore and find new good stuff.

This is why I want a new world. I could never compete with a large village. But on day 2 of the world I can mass slaughter entire villages. I've done it lol.

And it looses the cool exploring factor when its a old world. In the beginning if you find a cave on day 3 and make a base and it has iron in it its great. Now its easier to just find a inactive base with a cave.

In a new world when you find that stuff, it just feels so great. Now if you find something there's nothing that special about it. Some of the highest qualityt stuff I have ever had I found in a hidden cellar of an inactive base lol (there was a bed over it so that you couldn't see the cellar, and it has amazing stuff inside). In a new world you wont find tons of steel just sitting there, you actually need to get it yourself.

Bob, you gotta realise that as you want such new start, there will be people joining 2-3 months into new world wanting same start again, so its never ending story. Every begining is nice and we all love it, it also bring back so many other players that quit due to boredom before, so I can't imagine this game going "live" and not reseting anymore. It would be nice if new resources were born here and there :)

A world that refreshes on it's own, where old terrain changes, rivers move and lakes form would be nice.
That along with some form of stat cap would mean we would never need a world reset.
The ability to bash old stake claims is a good start.

Maybe not stat cap, but things not being dependant so much of stats, more of a gear and other things. Maybe if resources would get depleted and new one spawned, meaning constant search and battle for them. At this stage now if you sit at best clay/soil/water node, you preety much are covered with whatever you want for whole world just through trading it to others.

Or moving nodes such as rivers move and more deformable terrain.

I don't think deformable terrain could ever really work well though because it cant deform with your base on it lol. That could end badly.

But he really should add new resources spawning, or at least coming back. Or maybe when a new one spawns old ones could go away.

It would force you to work hard saving your base. I wouldn't mind gone people's bases being washed away.

Ya I would love if old bases decayed away. What I mean is what I thought you were saying was the map changing over time, if this killed your base while you were active that could be a problem.

If claim would go away on their own after a month instead of someone breaking them, then the old base could decay away and trees could come back and the land would revert to normal. At least this would help the longevity of the world a little

There would be a mechanic where you could divert the water or something in order to save your place if you decided that's what you wanted to do instead of moving.
