The main point of the game to me was the fact that you could do ANYTHING you wanted, and still get experience for it, that feature of the game was removed.
The main goal of the game now is running around after trinkets so you can get some mediocre lp?
Oh well, after some hours of boredom, I could no longer force myself to keep playing this abomination. If anything is done to fix the game, I'll be back, otherwise...
It has been a fun experience in world 4 tho, time to move on.
You couldn't do anything and still get experience for it. The only things that gave moderate to decent experience were repetitive bullshit that just got botted anyway.
Hunting was the main 'fun' in W3 besides mining parties IMO, both were killed with W4.
How about you W4 people realize that W4 also killed the 'fun' for a good deal of people in W3. I at least tried to enjoy W4 on several occasions, and I found one thing fun about it mining, the rest was boring to me, it killed the 'essence' of the game, but in doing so it instead simply changed the whole game.
Find what it is in W5 that is the 'essence' of this world, until we find that we won't go anywhere. I said a lot about W4 and hated the fact that it had no curiosities before it was out, I thought it would just suck shit all over, animals too rare, didn't kill you enough, too easy to trap. Lots of problems I saw, but even with that W4 was still 'okay' just a different kind of okay from W3. W5 will probably be the same, and maybe by W250 or something they'll refine it so all the things you liked about W4 are there, all the things I liked about W3 are there, and we can both be happy on a single server griefing each other.
But, it's still alpha, so who knows, some things will be sacrificed to test others, continuously.
Feedback is pretty important though even if they don't get to read it.

>easter egg facebook
Are you even trying with these entry level troll attempts?
Be more curious, it'll get you places. Dandelion and Ladybug take a while. Cow Cone is fast, gives about 44LP at q5 in 20minutes, pretty decent. Primitive Doll no idea the LP but takes quite some time, bark boat, etc, many others.
The whole point is to slow down the game early game, hopefully it means more content will be added early game, but before in W3 people were able to start and reach village creating within 24 hours, Sodom was made in what, one week?
W4 brought in a lot of changes to focus on lengthening earlygame.
Midgame is(was) already pretty long, endgame has never even been reached.
The game may seem slow because we're used to what the game was before playing W3 and such, but it seems it will take at least a few months to reach even close to that point and that seems to be the plan, extending early game much longer, probably 1 week-1month for the EXPERIENCED player to make it to their first 'protected' village with mine and such and starting to secure resource nodes.

Wow.
It may not have been fun, but the ability to get reward for your work (whatever that work may be) was integral to the sense of accomplishment that this game had. Personally I never made baskets, but I did build on and work the land on a large two person settlement (the baskets just represent toiling). I spent many hours toiling and building and paving and chipping and generally doing many repetitive tasks to make my place look cool. When I was done, not only did I have a neat looking place for all my hard work, but I had a good chunk of LP to advance my character. THAT was the great pairing that made this game fun, not baskets specifically, but the reward for doing the boring things one has to do. That reward is now gone, but if I want a nice-looking place I still have to do the work. Pretty much fuck that.

EDIT: spelling
Toil by actually making a village, not some stupid baskets. Yes, the reward for the boring things should be higher, no I don't think that curiosities alone can fix that. A few have voiced this same opinion that curiosities should not be the ONLY way to gain LP, but we will see how exactly this goes, it's not like this is the BE ALL END ALL of how LP will work, this is an alpha. If you can actually try it long enough to have some real constructive criticism you can say what's wrong, why it's wrong, and suggest some fixes. Maybe it'll seem you're being ignored, maybe you are. It's hard to ever tell with J&L, feedback from them on feedback you give seems to be decently rare, but I guess we'll see as things progress, again it's an alpha, everything might change. I thought W4 would be W3 + curiosities, it wasn't even close.
