Their mechanics still screw the game up more than they can give a good incentive for dramatic interaction.

It is: Spawn the most alts on day 1 of a world to win the game for the next 6 months. That is a shitty mechanic and needs change.

You can spawn 1k alts but only control 1 at a time so i never quite understood that concept. you can just as easily break your HF and wilderness spawn over and over but myself personally and I'd bet the majority of the player base aren't racing for best resources so much as to be the first with theft to grab peoples leathers and what have you. At least, that's how "I" play. I realize the immensity of a Haven and Hearth map and given a little exploring once the world ripens a tad everyone can find at least decent resources. The big problem isn't that but the "Everyone wants to be a Chief Syndrome" that keeps ad hoc factions from forming that could contest the big Dis/Ainran factions.

Make all resource quality's linked(caped) to character stats. :?

Or make some of the top soil nodes drift.

I had some ideas about randomizing quality of ressource spots and such back when I was still active. I honestly don't remember if I ever made a thread about it.

There also should be other ways to compete over quality nodes (leading us to the siege system as a whole) and also other ways to find them. Also fertilization etc to raise the quality of nodes by putting work into them.

Agreed. The should be player involvement with at least a percentage of resource quality be it water purification of some sort, mulching for soil etc etc.

then more progress of a village, the faster lp gain is.

Well... actually, LP gain under the old system was tied to quality, too. You got 3x as many LP for making q90 bread as you did for making q10, so nothing much has changed in that regard.

Someone posted something on randomly moving quality nodes at some point. I do recall reading it. Did it get posted in C&I? <shrug>

You ruined Salem already with your complaints, do you need to ruin Haven too? >>

I assure that that although Potjeh is no friend of mine, assuming Salem is ruined at all it damned sure isn't HIS fault.

From everything that I have seen, Potjeh is a well of useful thoughts and experiences. In truth he has done more good for both games than many of us ever will. =)
