A Plea for Moderation

The thing is, you (we) were warned about old system vs new system argument. And the last pages argument was Salem vs Haven systems, yet you interrupted to start old vs new one again.

And the several replies that followed that were not mine that were most definitely arguing about the same thing are irrelevant, correct? Singling out one of many is not rule enforcement or even "setting an example", it's just censorship. Hell, if you look at the critique thread I made the mods have actively insulted me, I'm not saying I care about that, because I really don't, I'm just saying that they're incredibly unprofessional and reflect poorly on the game and its forum. Yes, they have nothing to do with game development, but they are people that the developers put in charge of moderation of the forum.

It's not a good thing to have. Personally, I find that Sabinati's brash nature is amusing, but other people don't always agree with my view on things as you can tell.

Well, you made your bed out of passive aggressive insults you're throwing in every post, so I'm not surprised seeing a lot of people insulting you back, even if it is active. But they are talking to you as people, not as mods, and we don't have a rule against expression dislike to someone. I mean you can insult them back and not be banned for that. And it is not censorship, they did not try to shut you up completely, all of your posts are still here and can be read, you were not banned for discussion in your own thread, you were asked to keep it out from the thread about Hafen. I admit, 1 or two of my posts in the thread can be considered as old vs. new topic, but it have nothing to do with "please lets get back" posts.

General rule of thumb is that everyone shitposts every once in awhile. People get drunk, stupid, angry etc.. Unless you go way over the line then you won't get much more than a warning, if that. The more you shitpost the more likely a moderator will warn/ban you. You may qualify your posts as fine art, but if your posts look and read like garbage then, as the janitors here, we'll deal with them accordingly.

Neither were the past 10 pages before my post. My point is it was directed at me specifically, while the other dozen people who posted before and after me continued to be off-topic AFTER the threat, with absolutely no backlash toward them. My first post? Reply to somebody else's off-topic post. My following posts? Replies to my first post, that were on the same subject. I didn't start it, and I wasn't the last person to post about it, so why single me out?

If you're going to claim it was simply being off topic, threaten to ban everybody, not just me. If it's being off topic, why didn't the threat of moderation happen ten pages prior? Or from any of the other off topic discussions throughout that same thread? Why only after I had posted?

I "provoked" it? I fucking made a simple comment of "If the LP system changes back I know people who would play again", how is that provoking?

You're free to pretend that was your only comment, just be aware that you will be moderated if you continue making inflammatory comments in inappropriate threads. Everyone who participated in that discussion had their comments pruned out of the thread. You're the one continuing it. There really isn't anything more to say on the subject.
