I suppose one blunt post wouldn't hurt. You're right, there was no argument being had. The point of the posts earlier in this thread were to make is abundantly clear: don't shitpost in threads or you will eat bans. Your posts were pruned before and you're trying to bring the same thing up all over again. You can claim in whatever way you'd like that you're not instigating or perpetuating fights but no one is fooled. There is no arguing this. The sole purpose of your posting on these forums is to push for the old system or whatever you can get in likeness of the old system. Keep it to appropriate threads.

You showed up three years late with a discussion that everyone else has had to death. You've gotten your answer and you've been linked to the dev response to your concerns. We all know that the curiosity system isn't perfect and we all know that we aren't getting the curiosity system, or the old system, in Hafen. The devs have made it abundantly clear that they'll be experimenting with a new system. Likewise Haven won't be undertaking any dramatic changes because it's outdated at this point.

Users on this forum are adults and as such are capable of speaking, thinking, and acting for themselves. Adults are not expected to play nicenice with each other at all times. If you piss someone off they can call you an asshat. Likewise, as you've clearly seen and you've taken abundant advantage of, you can call them an asshat back. Congratulations. Moderators are here as janitors to maintain some degree of readability and accessibility to this forum. Like I said before, everyone shitposts sometimes. We get mad when we get raided, we get depressed when our farms are razed, and sometimes we get drunk on fridays. It happens. It's when a user is nothing but shitposts when it becomes a problem. Your post history is exclusively you getting mad at and shit flinging at others. Sometimes you provoke, sometimes they provoke, but the one common factor is that you're the center of the storm.

As for your argument on fear, I'm not even sure how to address that. You're allowed to speak freely and are amply warned before moderators take any serious action. I'm not going to pretend like we're perfect individuals but we're not exactly pushing on the third reich here. There are exceptions to bans, of course. If you're violating a rule you've been warned about before or that should be common sense then you might not be reminded of it before getting a ban.

My comments in your thread were meant as an argument of ethos because I wasn't willing to look at whatever logos you were trying to build. From there we exercised our very basic rights as adults to call each other asshats. I corrected misinformation you were using and you called me childish. I'm sorry that you've taken that as a personal attack against you.

My comment on hoping that you'd take my bait to stop responding were because you were doing your case no justice. You're really good at riling people up but not so good at making a concise point. It is often rather cringe worthy to read your posts and I have no idea how to address you in any way that won't make you explode more. It sounds like you're waiting for a 'You're right' but I'm not able to give that to any of your arguments and you already have a swarm of people shitting on you so you don't need me adding to it.

The closest I can get is that, you're right, there are plenty of people waiting for the old system to come back. The response from the game is the same to them as it is to you, it's not going to. It doesn't matter how many fights you start or how many petitions you sign, it's gone. That's it. Sorry. Some day, sooner rather than later, that will be the case for the curiosity system too. Tough. If that means the game isn't for you, then move on. The same will be true for people crushed over the loss or addition of any other feature in the game.

It is uncharacteristic of me to make posts like this, so I'll do my best to avoid more in the future. You're free to get the last word in on this or not read it at all, I don't care. Inevitably, your fate and actions are up to you believe it or not.

You know, I had a long post typed out with links to post histories of people with 90%+ shitposts with hundreds or thousands of more posts than I have, from doing nothing but insulting people because they don't like their threads and starting entirely off topic arguments to spamming image macros, but I've decided I don't really care enough. I don't need to call out other users who are worse than you claim I am, because in the end it doesn't matter, your opinion of me personally is set and regardless of the actions of other people, as long as you like them or agree with their shit posting it's okay for them to do it.

That SPECIFIC thread in question, and that SPECIFIC threat, was because I joined in SEVERAL PAGES after an argument I did not start. It was on topic to said argument, which was off topic to the thread. Every single person who had posted more than I had about that discussion was not threatened with a ban.

Guess how many posts I have outside of my critique thread. You've gone through my post history. There was that one and the couple of replies before the ban threat. The rest are contained to my critique thread where every last one is on topic. Critique is not shit posting, that is what the forum section is for. Explaining why a game mechanic is bad is not shit posting, that is what critique is.

Responding to the people who claim they refuse to read the thread and then tell me I'm wrong is not shit posting, unless you disagree with me.

I do not think this is really LoW as their post are different from each other as while LoW is more of the subconscious hyperactive poster that puts down letters as soon as something comes into his mind, Youkai is more of the one-track zealot that that believes he is right and on the moral high ground, regardless if they are correct or not.

Something of a logic spin, I find it odd or humorous that one cares so much about the old system despite it not going to show up in neither Haven or Hafen, what is the point of trying to push the effort forward or even debate about the curiosity system? It feels like Youkai MUST make bring his point across regardless of any opinion.

The last thing I wish to note is that the aggressive posting as well as incisiveness and aggressive tone is what really hurts Youkai's case, not only logically but in a more relational based degree. People are going to be more receptive to those that aren't trying to shove ideas down ones throat rather than putting honey or tin roof ice cream on top and offering. I suspect if Youkai has been more polite, both in attitude, as well as abiding to the rules. Reaction may have been different even if his idea would still not quite go through due to logical flaws (whether he can create a more solid argument is another matter though).

No. He has an extensive list ranging from nazi propaganda to bestiality to linking to illegal sites to harassing users. His other activities and posting habits aren't helping his cause either. These activities were conducted both before and after his ban.
