I have made a merchant's ring using a gold nugget with no quality and it turned out to be Q22. Is this due to my fairly low psyche? How is it calculated?

This sux. I've got a character relying on farming and cooking to get the LP for farming and cooking. It's been slow going, and now it will be worse.

p.s. My farming 38 char was harvesting Q99 hops yesterday. So I'm not sure about the old max level either.

In continued development of clothing for specific professions as previously stated by the devs, straw hats now boost your farming. There's your precious bonus back.

My precious bonus isn't back until straw hats boosts farming by 50 ;), I'm not bitching, I'm merely informing of the farming situation, and everyone else is wondering what happened.

That said, thanks for the tip, didn't know straw hats boosted.

Still, depending on how much perception Spectacles and Monocles give, it might not be too bad.

Yeah, I messed up the equations. I meant to say "skill+perception*2 for my suggestion and "perception*2" for what it is currently.

Making it tied to a skill would let players have a choice in whether to mass produce and eat carrot cakes or grind LP. This would allow players with no access to one or more materials used in carrot cakes to raise their quality awareness and would likely ease the transition to this new system.

Yeah, I thought the farming nerf would depress a lot of people (myself included), but at the same time, it was just too weird with absolute n00b characters (my own alt included) producing q50+ crops. To be honest, I don't really know what I was thinking to begin with when I made the crops work like that. It seems quite a bit stupid in hindsight.

The reason we didn't mention it in the announcement was simply because we forgot, though. :)
