Hence the use of the word there... What DROVE that tendency is irrelevant.
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

loftar wrote:More importantly, however, I'm not really sure I want that kind of mechanic; it's not like it's actually impossible to see things at night. If anything, I think it would be more reasonable and fun to make some specific objects invisible at night, and/or change waht animals are out and about and their behavior (like being far more dangerous in the absence of eg. fires).

It's never been impossible to see things at night in Haven, even without Nightvision, even without turning the brightness up on your monitor.

It was dim.

Also? Bullshit, I call bullshit. Without fire, without a moon, without light of SOME kind...

Black as pitch is black as pitch... There's nothing to see BY. Nor for our eyes.

Speaking of sun/night, i dream of winter/summer, rain/snow in the game. Well, just dreaming.

I love this about Haven, but although hacks are pretty much impossible, bots are still rampant. :/

The mound immediately E of the stacked bricks (or maybe it is stacked ingots of ore?).

Anyway, as far as the terrain goes, that was my biggest complaint in Salem: lack of any efficient way to clear the land and make it usable. It wasn't that I had to dig it out, it was that I had to micromanage the terrain. I got really good at it, but should this be a skill a player must learn?

Also: thanks for sharing, guys! We (I) have been wondering what's up recently.
