No joke, was genuine.

The tomato didn't arrive in Europe until Columbus went over to the Americas and brought back local crops with him. The Vikings who went before didn't go far south enough to find or trade for tomatoes.

And we wouldn't want any of those wildly out of place tomato plants spoiling the aesthetic of our pumpkin & tobacco farms :|

Its great to see you are making progress on Hafen/HnH II/HnH 3D, whatever you are referring to this incarnation as.

I would hazard a guess, looking at this screenshot, that farming is still individual tile based like it always has been in Haven, and not 4x4 field based like in Salem, although I could be wrong... anyway, my real question is; will there be crop tiers like in Salem? I really enjoy that aspect of farming, having to rotate crops to balance the influence bars. It would be nice to see baby onions, onions and red onions, oats, rye, barley and wheat, etc etc.

I quite doubt there will be crop tiers as in Salem, but we are considering other forms of crop rotation. None implemented thus far, though.

Have crops influence soil nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium). No tiers, just affecting yields. Some low end crops wouldn't need any but would add some, and some high end crops would require precise ratios to get more out of the field than you planted.

This, definitely this. Including things like beans which are nitrogen fixers, and corn which suck that shit right out of the soil.
