Though i didn't play this game as long as some of others here i dare to say i can't understand what are you whining about. For 1.5 moths of active playing i did not enter a starving stage not even once. Was still able to build walls, harvest relatively big crops and prospect for mines. And eating was not that pain in the ass either. Maybe i would like to eat less stuff in general, keep youre character full at all times ain't hard but kinda boring. But keeping hunger meter out of starving point is super-easy even now.

I mean c'mon people, do you really thought starving would be good for you? I can't see any reason why you can eat at very hungry, when meter decreases so slowly. I'm not find building shitloads of structures, or plowing a minimap, without dinner break realistic nor fun. I'm not saying i would like extra-fast dead when you reach starving, i'm saying that most of players is this thread are so overreacting.

Oh, and thanks so much for fixes with fooder q and carts in caves, loftar, can't wait to try it out.

Meh, same here, I find my character becoming hungry quite quickly.... but not to the point of hampering my normal activities.

Of course, if you insist on running all the time and drinking insane amount of water to keep your stamina up to run some more...

Keep a walking pace and drink tea ;)

The thing with hunger is that it doesn't scale well. If you play a few hours per day, you won't be so badly annoyed by it.

Trust me, the people who complain about hunger do it for a good reason. Don't believe me? Do a simple analysis; play several hours in a row doing various crafting and construction tasks. Count the # of items you have to eat, and how much time you use in crafting food and eating it.

It is a tricky issue, since currently the game revolves so much around eating food and getting better stats. People want to be able to eat a lot of food.

But it is massively counterintuitive to cook for hours only to be forced to go back to cooking after 15 minutes.

To be honest WTF?, mankind has incredible bodys and can actually starve for months at a time as loong as they have water.
This is so far in to unrealistic as it can be, if you can go from very hungry to sudden death within a min in to starving? ehm what where you thinking?

infact, very hungry or starving was most probably more of a normal state then beeing well feed as a farmer in the medieval time.

You only take ridiculous damage at 0% starving.

Are you absolutley certen about this? i got the impression the damage started as soon as you entered the starving phase, since Warri died i feel worried tbh. i dont know if he was experimenting a bit to test it and pushed it a bit too far or if it just happend by accident, i have a hard time to imagine Warri would actually go in to 0% starving on purpuse, unless he meant to die offcourse. But i still just dont like the layout of this anyhow, its still unrealistic.

How much damage would you take at 75%, 50% or 25% starving per second ingame then?

Yes its confirmed. I lose 1 HHP some time with starving > 0%. Referring to Loftar you lose 3HHP/sec at 0% starving so you most likely dont live more than 30 seconds than. Also you could die almost immediately through a bug like warri, so better dont try it out.

So you are saying you begin to take 1hhp damge per second with starving GREATER then 0%? and 3hhp per second at 0%? What I findmost interesting is that a developer would see/hear this shit right after enacting and still "leave it" untouched and go his nutfuk ass to bed or something...lol Only thing it does is make people sit by their ovens and not be able to go anywhere or do anything for fear of losing all their work. I guess it makes too much sense to have fixed the "gauze xploit" by making it stop healing at 0% so instead add to the already rediculous foodbar problems. Wouldn't want to do anything too rational it may harm the title of "indy dev" as opposed to a more professional one...lol Stupidest thing I've seen so far.

There could be 2 stages of starving. One that attacks your SHP, due to great discomfort, and one that attacks your HHP, which stacks with the SHP damage you take for being at the first stage of starving. The rate of SHP drained at 0% hunger will be equal to the rate of HHP drained at 0% right now, and the rate of HHP drained at 0% hunger will only be half as much. What this accomplishes, is it allows your SHP to buy you some time to get some food, up until 25%. When numbers fly out of you, it becomes way more noticeable that something is wrong, because not everyone stares at the hunger bar all day.

Also, getting knocked out due to hunger could stop all hunger related damage when you're above 25%, and getting up after being knocked out should freeze the hunger damage for a few seconds, allowing someone to get up and get some damn food.

Starvation shouldn't deal damage, people should simply drop dead at 0%. And as soon as you get into starving territory, your whole frigging screen should blink to alert you that you need food right away.

It's too fast. What I'm saying is that it shouldn't be possible to die before you're at 0% hunger.
