You stupid troll.

It's generally a bad idea to be disrespectful of the moderating staff and he is technically right, you don't smoke the seeds.

You hilarious troll.

Just to clarify in the case you really aren't trolling then: Without seeds you cant plant hemp, without hemp you cant harvest the weed.

The Great Potato Famine wasn't until 1845 (which you pointed out), but potatos weren't in Europe until the 1530's, when the Spanish brought them over from South America. Tobacco follows about the same process of reaching Europe. It never came from China.

Other crops that wouldn't make the cut: Corn, chili peppers, tomatos, and chocolate

With the potatoes, I am not too certain, however, this seems to be absed around the 16th-18th century, so potatoes would be plausible. The Tobacco, I am certain came from asia however, back some centuries before the Americas were discovered. Remember, I did not say China, i said Asia. However, the tobacco in the americas was much higher quality than that brought over from asia, and so the Europeans took an immediate liking to it.

Asia, China, same thing. Read Wikipedia. Tobacco did not exist in the old world until Europeans brought it over from the Americas. There are members of the tobacco family in the Old World, but no one used it to smoke. The hookah wasn't invented until after it was brought over, before 1550's, everyone smoked Cannibis.

Edit: And I was under the impression that H+H took place somewhere between the 7th and 13th Century.

The reason we won't get chocolate, potatoes or corn is that there just isn't many dishes you can make out of them without modern equipment.

We do need chilies though.

potatoes are a very versatile plant. one of the most, actually. all you need is a knife and a skillet.

Name three significantly different recipes, creatable with resources already in game.
