One of my baskets, which was holding some buckets, poofed earlier while I was asleep, too. The buckets were gone when I got there.

So... How exactly does one repair something? I've tried it on chests, and my character just walks over to it and stops without doing anything else.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

I think that's what happens if the object is undamaged. Try taking a swing at something you don't care about, then repairing it.

Yeah, it seems you'll be prompted for the necessary materials to repair stuff if it's damaged. I thwacked a chest (which seems to have a LOT of HP) and my spinning wheel (which I very nearly instantly destroyed). Were these destroyed containers straw and/or wicker baskets? (or perhaps urns). It seems to me chests are quite a bit more sturdy, as none of the ones hanging around outside my place are particularly damaged, as far as I can tell. I'm also curious if there's some randomization to it or if I should go camp out by one of those wicker basket fields to watch them all spontaneously explode as one.

I do think some sort of graphical indication is crucial - though I can certainly understand why that make Jorb clutch his chest and cry out for Elizabeth, if we want actual shiny (or dingy) graphics to indicate it. Some sort of repair-o-vision option ala claims / village claims / etc. would be nice - either a little bar or a tinted color.

Ive had a breeding pair in a container for over 18 RL hours with no effect. Never touched them, moved container, nothing.
Maybe it is a RL day, so 24 RL hours?

Maybe they have to be in a player's inventory, not a container.

I thought a similar thing but can't see any reason why J&L would have implemented it in that way...

I had a pair in my inventory overnight. Of course, I was logged off at the time...

Do chests inside carts still decay? And what happens if the cart disappears when the chests are still inside?
