True!
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

Great update!

You actually DO need water... becuase you make it with a cauldron. The water obviously goes in the cauldron and it fills an empty bucket with 5L of wort. I assume this means it requires 5L of water.

Also, the tea bug is in full effect here. It does not ADD 5L of wort to the bucket, it SETS the bucket to having 5L of wort. So dump your bucket in the barrel before making more.

Technically speaking, the tea bug means that it eats your old bucket and gives you a new one with 5L of wort in. It's a rather fundamental flaw in the crafting system that makes it always eat all the inputs to a crafting recipe, and it'll be fixed when I finally get around to rewriting the crafting system.

Mind you, the same bug applies to making rennet.

Yes

So, what about wine and beer makes it so worth it to go through all that trouble making it?

It's BEER, man. Watch your posts, this one was borderline blasphemy.

Are we getting different beers in the future?

Oh, I'd like to propose another alcohol - slivovitz. It's a spirit that's popular in most Slavic countries, and even in some Germanic ones. We'd need a plum tree added. Picked plums would be placed in a barrel to ferment, and then distilled in a still (requires a ton of cast iron). It could give Con FEP, or switch it around so beer gives Con and slivovitz Str. Only problem is that I don't know if it's thematically appropriate, because spirits appeared about the same time as gunpowder, I think.

I'd think that for a Germanic feel, the first distilled booze should be Kirchvasser, 'Cherry Water,' also known as Schnapps.

This sounds pretty cool, so now I've got to start nagging about the grindiness of harvesting and planting.

Can we have a few RSI savers bumped to the front of the queue? Maybe a shift click for planting and maybe a tool for harvesting multiple tiles simultaneously?

Beer can be drunk from a tankard, that you make from a piece of cast iron. It can, for now, be stored in winebottles.

Can I simply leave it in the barrel, or do I need to have a bottle as an intermediary between barrel and tankard?

Hey, we already got beer for the Germanic feel. Screw you and your cultural discrimination :P

Is this beer a brown sludge like stew? Or is it like modern beer?
