Jorb and Loftar have said they don't want to drum up too much hype because Hafen is still a ways away, but maybe we'll get lucky. =)

Well i guess if you'd donate that much they'd prolly hire someone to draw a nice roadmap for you (even if it would be a fake one ...) :P

Doing charts like that just isn't practical in my opinion. Anyone that writes code knows you can't really estimate the amount of time it's going to take to design, code, and debug all your processes.

Personally, I like the way Toady does it with Dwarf Fortress and just has a general list of things to be added at some point in the future. Not everyone has such a grand vision of the future, though. Folks just need to learn to be patient. It'll be here when it gets here. There's too much else to do in life to worry over small things like this. (No, Haven isn't a small thing, but in the grand scheme, it really is. )
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I'd rather they spent time and resources on the game than a roadmap. If they want to share tidbits here and there with us fine but I don't think its a good idea to hold them to a schedule considering we are playing for free.

Does anyone know if the current Haven will still be up after they release 2.0?

Jorb said the current Haven will continue to exist until they're convinced that Haven 2.0 is a superior model in every way.

So there'll be a point in which we'll have two different servers - for the current game and 2.0?
