Let us remember that the Devs are college students who do all of this for FREE. You are not paying to play the game, you do none of the maintainence, you don't do their laundry, or cook their meals or even help them study for exams............so please quit trashing them.

No information has really been released. We know they're aware of the problem, since they acknowledged it on the front page. Depending on the issue, it could take a few more hours or a few more days. Until the devs tell us anything, we just have to patiently twiddle our thumbs and mash F5.

unless it's a scheduled server downtime, you can never tell how long it will stay down. but it never stays down for to long.

The front page thing is automated. If they were aware of it the server would most likely be rebooted by now. They're probably just sleeping.
