Just deal with the lag or GTFO. It's as simple as that. All I do is swap curios, check the walls, and that's it.
Sure, it takes me a few minutes, but you get used to it. Just don't go hunting.
By the way, isn't there a rule about straying off topic of the thread?

Loftar, did you try to mount XFS with nobarier option? Looks like barriers can ruin perfomance with small files up 10 times.

I think that won't work due to the fact they are using software RAID.
