Oh!

I did not know that.

Well, it is... *Checks watch* 11:00 PM in Stockholm. So that sound reasonable. If I had to go out on a limb and guess, I'd suppose we could expect them to notice it in about 9-10 hours, and fix it in another 1 or 2? I suppose it depends on their morning schedule. If they even wake up before the crack of noon, that means they probably have something to do and might not think to check on the server status.

Sure would be neat if they could hook up some kind of phone/email-based alert so they were alerted to these crashes (frequent as they seem to be) more quickly.
Obviously, need (and deserve) their personal time, but sure is a pain if/when server is down for 10-15 hours due to 'sorry folks, was sleepin'.

So what, do you propose to wake them up?

Main idea of the quote - this is your fault that i killed you, not mine.

Dunno really... If it were me, I'd probably try to find a way to get an alert sent as a text message to my phone whenever the server crashes. Not sure if thats possible though.

Eh, its really their choice as to how they handle things. I just wanna get back to frontiersman goodness - and I know Im not alone.

IMO it would be cool to have an international admin (somewhere on the other side of the world) that can remotely reset the server, but I don't know if that's possible and secure...

It's too much to expect them to be on call all day for the sake of a game that doesn't pay their bills, and unfortunately since tinkering with the server probably requires physical proximity, it'd probably be out of the question to authorize people in other timezones to fix things like this. If you don't like the game shutting down now and then, donate. More money means more stable servers. And remember it's just an alpha.
