p2w isn't so bad, if it gives a little edge, there can be some enhancement stones, which give + to basic attributes, just find right balance, when it is not too p2w.
Also pay-not-to-die is acceptable i guess. Murdered? Pay and get your descendant almost as skillful as your dead character.

That is the definition of not acceptable. That saps the life out of the core of the game. Permadeath stops being a core feature and starts just being a method to force players to pay.

Those are the top 5 most expensive items, number 5 already being purely cosmetical. On the following ranks basically 50% of the top sellers are purely cosmetical and they are the ONLY items that sell like hot cakes. You usually get rid of them minutes after putting them up, I tried myself. Useful gear? Takes days and weeks to sell if at all..

sounds more like problems inherent to the items of that particular game but idk

edit: misspelled inherent

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I'm personally a fan of one-time purchase. The problem with that is that there likely wouldn't be a critical mass of buyers needed to keep the world sufficiently populated. So I suggest a big-ass demo, ie free to play up to certain content, which should take long enough to reach to determine if you want to keep playing. Something like skill packs bought for RL cash, paid once per account and forever unlocked on that account (you'd still have to normally learn these skills, buying them merely unlocks them).

go the same way everyone else does now a days with "one-time purchase" you gain 50-10% less LP compared to paid users or paid users get cosmetic items of some sort like being able to build pretty stuff.

If there'd be more options for donating (i.e. Paysafe cards etc.) the income would go up ... and we won't have to discuss ... ;)
