One good idea that I've seen that hasn't been addressed anywhere as far as I know, is the creation of a donation meter that allows people to donate and see how close the devs are to being able to buy necessary equip, services, etc. I have already donated but would donate more if I knew it would help. There are, like, 19K people here. If everyone donated just $1 US, I'm sure it would make a difference. I'd even donate on a monthly basis. I've played a lot of games that were pretty expensive and lame at the same time. So I wouldn't mind voluntarily paying a little each month for a game that is awesome when it works.

You need really strong PC to play this game. It's using 50% of my Intel dual core @1.6 CPU and 500 Ram from my 4gb, and it take 5 minutes to load on my AMD dual core @2.0GHZ, and take 100% CPU and 400 MB Ram from 1,5GB ram.
And this game weight only 17 MB, have no fancy graphic or so. Im pretty sure it don't use your graphic resources at all just CPU to calculate the code.

So if this 17 MB can eat so much resources I'm thinking what it's doing with the server, and how powerful server you need to not brake.

We need some code optimization or change the code language to something lighter.
If server is out of ram 3x a day, coder should at least make something to save maps on the lot (like every 10 minutes lop around all opened maps) and releasing ram memory, and think about optimalization.

People needed 386 to send human to the moon, and soon we will need 1000000000x more power to write in notepad.

That's strange. My computer is somewhat more powerful at 2.27G CPU, 4G ram but it takes only a second or 2 to load and uses almost no resources. I'm using windows 7 and a 54mbps connection.

As far as I can guess this is because the main client loop doesn't stop to wait for incoming user or other events (keystrokes, mouse clicks, server messages, etc.), thus releasing not needed processor time. It will be always consuming 100% of one processor core no mater what type of processor you are using.

This! +100

I had the exact same thought earlier, a target and donations meter would be a really good idea. Hell, if there was a list of the highest dontations, people would probably even battle each other to be the 'winner' in that too! :) Just need to do what Governments do, find a problem and throw money at it
