I would rather start pondering about new things that could be added at this point. Not whining about the things that cant change. The bg fixes will help alot, a simple rule change is going to change how the world works as is. Why complain? Before a new world gitters?

Back to topic and ignoring the flamming devs (l-lol):

Custom clients cannot be fixed. There's no ability to do it technically. So stop crying about it.

That's not true but surely it need LOTS of work. Basically it need that the client is recoded from scratch, not using java. This client is so custom mostly cuz it uses Java. (add here deeper explanation blahblah)

But actually, ask to devs to code a whole client from scratch is like ask to a cat to swim happily in a river.
Cuz Loftar don't know how to create a client and i don't think he's gonna learn it in this life.
This problem can be solved changing the devs, but that's pretty weird and hylarous, so the client will not be changed. (Imagine someone that go to Loftar house and Fix Loftar... Lol. A weird flash in my mind...XD)

Anyway there are few things that can be done without code a whole client. One of this could be add some usefull features on the base client (copypaste from enders XD), and work on that ip system so that people can log, let parents play, do whatever but not abuse it so much like now.
Few alts don't hurts anyone.

No, I mean seriously, custom clients are fucking dumb. They ruin the game. What's the point in even playing if you can't hide in forests or straw fields because they can make those disappear? What's the point in sneaking away if they can see you from like 4 minimaps away?

Basically because of these clients the game is about farming and then using alts for combat. I play this for wilderness survival dammit, not that nerdy level grinding bullshit.
