Read back thru this thread a bit, here and there. Will we maintian our character from world 7? Or do we start with new character?
If we do, keep our character, do they maintain the skills, stats, lp etc? Are house, claim, belongings carried over, or do they disappear?
I have not been thru a new world release before.

Looking forward to new release. Have come across a handful of other players in game, since playing, just over a month now.

It's a full wipe every time. Characters will all be Tabula Rasa. Best of luck.

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times, but what will become of the original H&H? Will W7 continue on? Or will it be replaced by the update?

Official statement (not quoting it): W7 will continue to run until player base winds down too much OR W8 is developed to a satisfactory point W7 is no longer useful.

The understanding at this time is a big NO. You'll be expected to make friends with those around you or figure out a way to meet up. How the latter will be done early on will most likely be hoofing it to one corner and then finding each other. Later, it may be easier with fast travel and roads or other implementations jorbtar are thinking on but haven't announced

This change makes me very sad as there are not any other games like this to play really and no this one feels closed off to me personally.

It didn't take long before the Haven community gave some shining examples as to why I've only played with the people I hang out with. I would love to meet some decent people who play this game but I've yet to see evidence of their existence.
