I don't personally remember lag in world 3 at all. Though I barely remember it in world 4. But what I do know is that it was alot worse in 5 and 6, I just know how frustrated I felt at the rubber banding.

Back when there was no lag, there was unrecoverable data corruption. I'm not sure which is worse, TBH.

I had no lag at all in World 4 and "remember" no lag during World 5...maybe near the end of the world there was a small amount but it was barely noticeable. World 6 is where shit got crunk.

There was a period of time (I'm thinking early/mid W4) where there was actual latency lag from so many players (1200+) being active and the server still being hosted in jorb's closet.

Once they upgraded the server things went amazingly well even with 1500+ players. Then came the OS upgrade and everything has been downhill ever since.

So change "early/mid W4" to "mid/late W3" then?

I don't see how that makes what I said any less true.

mid/late w3 before upgrading couldnt hold 300+ players online cause it crashed almost every time it reached that many.
