Imo, trolls are fine, but yeah, vampires and werewolves and it'd a bit twilight-esque.

I might object to that, but it's not really worth pursuing.

Though that does bring to mind the story of the lich, an undead creature whose soul was bound to a needle, hidden in an egg, still in a duck, stuffed in a hare, locked in an chest, buried beneath an oak tree.

That shit would be crazy to try to deal with, though probably easier with Haven mechanics. If you consider memorizing the bastard in the middle of the fight fight, picking up scents afterward, and tracking it back to a randomly-placed hearthfire to be easy.

Imagine if they implemented something like that today.

All those skeletons laying around, each with a <1% chance of rising.

You know, this all existed before it got all fucked up by some hack of a teen author. Back in my day, we had REAL vampires and werewolves, like World of Darkness. ¦]

That said, vampires are more Slavic, aren't they, and werewolves were Gaelic? Forget off the top of my head. (Lore/mythology of both can be found from a variety cultures in various forms.)
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

If you want Germanic lore then you should start with Grimm's Fairy Tales. They were collected from all over Germany and represent lore, myth, and culture. Personally however I think we have enough fantasy games out there though.
