I thought the actual server was at Jorb's place?

by the looks of things, Facebook games should thank Haven and Hearth Dev's network or server or just their internet provider for allowing crashes like these so people can have the chance to utilize down time and harvest their "other" crops  .... .... .... Look another crash, I wonder if there was an increase on Farmville servers just now? I hope they don't crash

Question about the srv-state data.

users 325
chars 332

I figure the moment you start the client and login your added to the "users" count.
And that if you enter the game with one of your character you added to the "chars" count.
But as far as I know you can only play one character per login, and you can't login more then one's at a given moment. (as normal user game user.)
So what might I be missing here ? As the numbers don't make sens given the above assumption's.
(Or, wild guess, are there are 7 additional Dev characters active at that moment ?)

if in the event of a map/char wipe. the map could be reduced in size as to allow trading with other peoples easier. with such a small community actually playing the game, the map is just way too big. when we get more players. then make the map bigger. i havent even seen the player count hit 400 yet the map takes probably a full day or two to cross. it is more realistic yes, but not very practical. expand the farming, cooking, armor, weapons, etc. make a stone wall maybe so that we can have gray castle like walls instead of red decorative walls that probably werent even in existance back then. maybe a brick house to match said red brick walls. some strawberries, peppers, tomatoes, watermellons, etc. heck, ill draw the icons for you if you give me the exact size requirements and a medium to easily send them to you so you can implement them. and as i saw on another thread, make make it to where if you dont have rage, you cant be attacked and murdered. thats one of the reasons this community is so small. people ragequit because there are so few rules and lack of protection for people trying to get a start.

I don't think that map should be reduced. I am living near the world's edge now and I am quite happy with that.

As a new player.
I love this game.
The reason I play is because of the size of the wilderness and I am sure I am not the only one.
People can choose to group or choose to make encountering others less likely - A lot of space is itself a protection for individuals and groups trying to get a start.
For those who like small overcrowded worlds there is every other mmo out there. Even EVE is overcrowded now.
Also, it seems to me that the sandbox idea only works if there is enough space for communities to have a chance to form for a time in isolation before having to encounter other communities that my have developed along different lines.
Anyway - I don't really want to have a disagreement that is off the thread topic with my first post.
Way for me to make a good first impression.....
:)

Not a show stopper, as nothing is stopping players to seek out other players.

Practically speaking ... You character has two practical legs.

Erm, your on a roll ... Would be nice to see separate topic for your idea's. (there seems to be topic about this, somewhere, if I'm not mistaken, but ...)
In addition, the lack of general social rules, or other enforced character save guards, seems to be one of the cornerstones of this game. (aka: its a game feature.)

Absolutely the map should be bigger. :) With some big solid bodies of water in between to form separate continents/islands.

The lawlessness of the game (IE - There is no/little moderation) is part of it's appeal to me, and I'm not one of those who hunts down others. But the experience I have every time someone comes to my gate is part of it's charm.
