I don't have to craft a bunch of crappy saws from left-over bone just because I suspect that doing so will give me some sweet LP. I don't have to grind hunt for meat and stuff that I don't need.

I always usually played without keeping too much immediate attention on the LP I had. I would ignore it for a while, go about my business and come back when I had some to spend. From that perspective not much has changed, really. I played for three hours this morning, fished a little bit and found some early curiosities, went to bed, and now that I got up I have some more LP and a house to build.

So reactionary nubs can QQ moar as far as I'm concerned. Sorry. :)

Gah, stop posting Jorb, you are killing the server.

My problem isn't so much the LP gain being slowed, it's not knowing how to build things. I had a two branches, a string, and hearth magic, all the things needed for a dream catcher. What the hell else do I need to "discover" to build a simple fucking dream catcher so I can somehow magically figure out how to make a dowsing rod and then miraculously "discover" how to build a well? The LP is fine, but we need some sort of resource that tells us what we need to discover to make the simplest of things. Along with this, I've heard you yourself need to pick the "discover" item up, not take it from a chest, or off the ground after it's been dropped and that's just absurd. If that's true, it just seems like your encouraging players to not interact with others and to just fuck off into caves. Really, this is my only concern, having no resource what so ever to even dig myself a hole to shit in because who knows? I didn't discover my hands yet to dig a hole? How about you give us the action in our build menu, and tell us exactly what we need to discover rather than just leaving us totally in the dark?

The concept itself is fine, it's the execution could use a bit of polish. Your "free to relax" is somebody else's "forced to wait".

server shut down? is this a bug fix? :) by the way, is it normal that you don't get bread at the start of a new character anymore? :/
Hope you have a great day

I frankly am enjoying the hell out of it so far.. It's a little challenging to get your head around at first, but I have to completely agree. There's so much everyone can be doing to keep the community going and growing (Including, say, crafting curiosities for others). I look forward to seeing how it all develops in the end. I'm excited for it so far.

Sosialismen lenge leve!!

I think you are doing a good job Jorb, this might be fun once we get used to it, and perhaps you tweak it a little. This is a free game after all, so all the hater can go Gulag themselves.

Im not to happy with the change, but ill lgive it a chance to win me over. MAybe some system to make the inital LP gain alittle higher?

Oh that I don't doubt.

This? This is pure HWFO if you ask me. (Hand waving freak outery). Can we perhaps not argue in the realm of hyperbole?

I have good reason to believe this is true. Have you played W5 with a friend yet? To my knowledge, anything my buddy discovers and then leaves in a crate, will not apply to me and I'll need to go find something we already have just to make myself a dream catcher.
