Protip - hotkey the "harvest" action and you can then just left click on any plant you want to harvest using that hotkey, without having to open any radial menus ;)

Then i suggest you search for the problem on your computer.

When i start my client i'm ingame within 15 seconds (and this includes the time i need to type in my credentials).
Everyone in know (and firsthand from me myself) who have been on today voiced that lag is virtually gone (apart from seldom short freezes once an hour or so) and the game is quite snappy.

So i guess the problem is on your computer (since the 5 minutes you claim it needs to start initially) or with your internet connection.
Maybe try to disable stuff clogging up your uplink (eg. filesharing clients, watching online video streams etc.) ?

i think however i am not the only one with the loggin time problem, and i also think its a seperate issue, i think Loftar knows about this allready, i was just giving heads up that that problem is still there.

the other problem with lagg however is quite annoying, and yes it could be my old crappy computer basically, but it seems to have gotten worse since the server change. i do not stream or use any such stuff wile im playing. i have a 24 connection so it should be able to handle the game. Everything is closed exept the forum page, firewall, and virusprogram basically. nothing else is running in the background.
Pentium 4 CPU 2.20GHz, 1,50 GB RAM , NVIDIA GeForce 6200. and yes yes im using my old one since my new computer broke down several months ago, this old one is crappy, but still i feel it should be able to handle a game like this.

Now it says the client is too old all together, so just switching the server the client connects to isn't going to work anymore?

In case you run XP and don't have insane amounts of background tasks on that machine (or insane software like the yellow plague aka. Norton) you should be good for H&H.

Adding another 2GB of RAM (which you should be able to salvage from another derelict machine, or buy quite cheap at your local hardware vendor) will boost your system performance.

In case you use Vista or Win7: downgrade to XP.

In case you use XP: try to get someone who hasn't performance problems with H&H to bring his rig to your place and attach it there - in case his performance is still nice: reinstall you OS.

Could not connect to server

Postby Chakravanti » Wed Nov 10, 2010 2:36 pm

It's not the server address because I fixed that. Neither Pachos nor Loftar's client work. Haven't been able to connect since yesterday morning. I have connected to the new server. In pachos I tried to update the haven.jar but now the client is too old.
