If slings were the only thing that made hunting feasible then that would in itself have been worthy of a bug-report, and the problem in that case isn't that we nerfed the slings. I don't like making them Q-less, but the screams of agony are tell-tale signs that y'all been riding high on broken mechanics. Pool is closed for now.

How about alternativves or slight nerf, but this?

Slings weren't TOO far ahead of wheat hunting. The only reason we did it instead was to not invest in farming on the same character...


The last update made melee/UA hunting substaintially slower, this one makes MM hunting slower and a bigger pain (quivers suck, so does making me have to raise survival jst so my arrows wont suck). Might aswell rename this game Farmville as farming is the only consistently decent LP source.

Well I tested out the sling. It only does 20 damage. Can ya explain how the damage is done or is it random.
The sling Q is 125

so... the grids were expanded again? is that what you meant when you said, "the frontier is open"? if so, damn. if I didnt already have what I wanted, I would go further out right away! also, I saw the cost of a sledgehammer and PFFFFFFFT!! damn, thats spendy. good artwork though.

Problem with reducing base dmg is that it makes it completely useless for its actually intended purpose, namely as a newb hunting weapon. I have an actual fix in mind, but it's more involved.

Okay, well I hope the atlernative comes soon. Without something like sling though, I don't see it getting better any time soon really, at all for LP, people will just either:
1)Be way behind us who grinded like crazy before this, forever.
2)Be all farmers to get any LP at all

Really I only see this being worst as space will be taken up like en masse just for wheat farms, everyone will lag, no one will be happy.

Hopefully bows can put some sort of gap inbetween though, but sling hunting was really 'fun' too, -sigh-, doing wheat is just boring afkshit.

perception affects min damage
max damage is based on nothing now. constant number.

agility decrease damage done

random number from min to max lowered by targets agility

all that was changed was if you have a ql 100000billion sling it will still the same useless damage that can't kill anything...

and unless you use "pen" trick you will have to chase 10 minimaps to kill 1 thing

Just a minor problem; in one of the new southern grids the minimap that's showing is like what you would see inside of a cave. The treasure map.
