Not that I understand the full situation, but does that really matter? Do people just have a few duplicated items or is this something crazy like people having infinite items, being unable to use inventories at all, and generally being unable to carry on like normal? We appear to be able to play as is, anyway. I don't think balance matters that much in this world if that's the problem and a new world without any real updates sounds like it wouldn't be too useful for testing. But if it's urgent we test the balance changes to come, I guess that's fair enough.

I think people could use a little more time to at least contact people in-game that they don't know the email addresses/forum usernames of.
