Reguarding the map reset, will the quality of resources and mine locations be changed so people with lots of experience don't run to the best spots right off?

A map reset implies an entirely new map, generated from scratch. That's how they did it the last time. Last time they added mountains, heaths and moors as well as a couple of new sorts of marsh. Last time they went from a grassland world to one that was primarily forest. I doubt the changes will be as radical, but I'm pretty sure we will all start by being completely lost.

So apparently, wielding 2 Wind blades, having 30 Melee and 10 unarmed, as well as 90+ Strength, I could hardly, barely scratch a friend I was sparring with, even with the attack bar at full, using things like Storm of swords, when his Defense bar was empty. Neither of us were wearing armor. Somehow though, he, with little or no unarmed skill (7 or below) was able to deal out 55 damage a hit on me, in quick succession though. That seems a bit unbalanced. Also, taking initiative to be able to use weapons such as axes, swords, etc, I really don't like.

You need 4 Initiatives to chop. Try dashing a bunch.

I've attempted the attack with 10 init tokens and gotten nothing.

Combat attacks require combat power(what are they calling it) as well as init tokens. If your red bar is empty you can't attack.

That wasn't it either. When I would use my old shortcut, it brought up an attack icon and clicking enemies did nothing. After replacing the shortcut, it worked fine.

Yes, that's because we've nerfed the windblades to uselessness. They'll most certainly be removed after the reset.

Will there still be a Ring of Brodgar? Will players still be able to travel there?

Yes, but Cleave does it with 1.5 times the attack value. :)

And here I liked windblades a lot, if for nothing than the looks. However, I had similar results with a Q25 stone axe, it did no damage at all, and yet punching with almost no unarmed did 55+ damage a blow.

Hmm, would it be possible to add anohter hotkey bar which could be used with Shift 1 -10?
I obviously dont mean it like in pachos client which just switchs the bars, but just another bar above or below the bar we have now.
That many combat moves simply dont fit into my bar, and switching between them is subpar.

Loftar go rob i want to beat you : )))

I'm not having any problems one hitting level one non-domestic-able animals with a QL44 axe, 49 melee and 84 strength.
