While I will be reducing the maintanence rate, that was never intended. The reason we removed the arbitrary restriction of five people having to found a village was precisely because the intended effect was to have the drain rate discourage single-or-few-member villages instead. In other words, so that it is limited by a real factor instead of the willingness to make throw-away alts.

The intention was for it to be a cinch for five somewhat active persons to maintain a village, but hard for a single person.

Hmmm.. our charterstone still exists. It does not have an authority radius anymore (It's quite far from the idol), but I can still activate it (If I would want that).
Was this intended?

That was intended, yes.

Does it still drain authority?

Ah, no. The charter stone is simply not an authority object anymore; it is connected to your village and can only be placed upon ground with authority, but it has no authority parameters of its own.

Village with only village claim, nobody online.
130 min passed, 1376 auth lost

11 auth a min.

So, if my math doesn't fail me, this village will start to decay in one week. Does that sound reasonable to you? You're away from the game for a week and you're done for.

Heh. I don't get it. Now, with only 3 people online, Authority is rising.

Sounds very reasonable. That's why you have village members so that some are online at least once a week. If no one can play for that long, why have a village at all?
