I don't disagree but there is also more than one reason that they call them "gamble boxes."
Suffice to say that not every cash shop needs to be evil either. I thought Salem's was rather humane compared to others I've seen. Or take a look at Path of Exile's cash shop. This one almost exclusively sells fashion items.
I suppose, although I do detest the selling of silver and wouldn't agree with seeing the sale of any form of currency in a cash shop in Haven. I must admit that a large portion of my hatred towards anything cash shop related comes from having been playing ArcheAge since July, and if you're familiar with the game at all or have read any articles (recent or not so recent) you will understand what I mean by that.
I'm open to the idea of a F2P model with cosmetic cash shop but I feel that if there is a more appropriate avenue they can take, they should. Sandbox games, especially a game like Haven, should allow the crafting/creation/obtaining of any and every item to all players using in-game means, even if they are also obtainable through out-of-game means.
