Since Haven never had a payment model I think it's safe to say that that's true.

$75 to revive character. I know some people would pay this.
We buy things we don't need with money we don't have to impress people we don't like.

that is a total dick move, the only game I know of that has this is/was WarZ..and that game was a flaming bag of dogshit.

Also I don't like the idea of a cash shop for cosmetics, for salem people are saying it exclusively sells fashion items, but it doesn't.
For example the Hunter pack has this Image

This is literally pay for an advantage over others, along with the gardener's pot and not to mention exclusive tools others won't get if they don't shell out coin.

Honestly this method disgusts me and I would be revolted if haven followed this business model by selling 'packs' and silver to buy shit from markets in game.

Never pay real money for things people can steal from you in a game, ever.

Literally worse than Stalin, Mussolini, and Hitler combined.

These changes must have been made by the new owners. I don't remember this from when I played. That was around the time when Jorb and Loftar made a last attempt to make Salem work. I *think* (but I'm not really sure anymore now) that under their ownership the only unique items sold in the cash shop were special outfits and that was pretty cool for players who didn't resort to the cash shop (you could farm silvers and buy everything else from NPCs). Which brings us to this other issue though...

I always felt bad for the people who lost these outfits. Many probably got murdered just because someone wanted their piece of clothing. At least they were always among the top trophies people bragged about in the raid threads.

Also...
The claim upkeep (town and personal) was the most annoying part about the cash shop currency. If you stopped farming silvers or buying them from the shop you basically lost all your stuff eventually. Sort of kept a pressure on you to keep going.

Bob dole thinks clothing, pets, changing hair color, crap like that is fine, as long as it doesn't give an advantage in game, aka pay to winfag.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Flat rate account fee, 1 character per account, allow alts, ban bot accounts, offer account-bound cosmetics, sell character slots, get rich.

New Haven looks pretty cool though.

They sold the ingame currency directly for at least a good chunk of their ingame "dev control". Admittedly this was back when paradox was involved (I had stopped following the game after it left paradox influence), but lets not rose tint things.
