Note that he said you might get a *curiosity*, not just straight LP. And if you're using cone cows after a couple of days of playing there's something wrong with your playstyle, because they're newb stuff.

Well they do only need 1 attention though. I can see myself using them If I level up Int while studying much better curiosities.

Wow..it's like all anyone cares about is stats, stats, and more stats :| Can't you just enjoy the game?

The way I see it most new players will have even a harder time playing this.

Also: I'm hungry :(

I believe I enjoyed the early game of W4 more, even though I am a new player. Oh well will try to enjoy this, but it's all meh for now.

We should make the LP like this

Old system back, but when you do something for too long that LP rate goes down

Digging for several hours - losing LP rate

OR make it pointless to grind more than you need,
make a bar with 300k max lp, if you get more lp it goes to waste, otherwise you get 500 lp from that bar every minute.

Imo the big flaw in your reasoning is that it basically revolves on the fact that grinding LPs was mandatory, and therefore that any new system should involve grinding. You completely miss the fact that the whole sandbox thing was pulled to background in favor of a (better-balanced) mandatory grinding system, which a fresh eye can see.

Before, people played in the sandbox and some of them found an imbalanced aspect to abuse.
now every single person is forced to actively thing about how to optimize his LP gains and there is no guarantee that some players won't abuse it.

What? This basically just extended the early game, I don't see how it's any less sandboxy :S
