joojoo, from a defender's stand point, having a slim chance is better than having no chance. Does a level 1 typically stand a chance against a lv 100 in most games? No, but when you are the level 1, is it very fun to have level 100's step on you like dog shit and not be able to fight back? No. At least HnH gives you a chance to fight, instead of just getting crushed effortlessly.

The combat system is flawed because no one uses it, they use movement combat instead which is a evolution of combat thanks to players being smart. If the original combat system was used people would not rely on movement combat for kills and then you could justify that the combat system is good. It also seems like the game mechanics do not coincide with movement combat because as many people have advocated, movement combat negates combat stats, which encourages players to focus on their movement combat "skills" and puts less weight on leveling their character combat skills. I was under the impression if you wanted a good combat character your focus would be on stats AND skill..... not just skill.

This. Even a small level gap, E.G. WoW, a level 80 couldn't even possibly hope to beat a level 90. Small chances are better than no chances at all.

that's prolly because at lvl 1 your just startin out and haven't vested much time in it. at lvl 100 your there man. and a lvl 1 to come and be able to do it, because you lag out, or because you hit some shitty hit box. Really, sounds like Pure BS to me. you want actual combat, where you have UA for debuffing and melee for killin. learn that, instead of hoping to catch em on a pooly laid out hit box. that's no beter than troll or bear bashing m8.

in W3, we had specialized fighters, UA was mainly for keepin the baddie's coins low or non existant, and dire straits keepin attack bar low. Melee was just that, go in and clean up. Ranged was to take out the fodder and spook the inexperienced fighters, as well as leadership moves.

Learning movement combat DOES take skill. Or extreme luck. Have you tried movement combat where you are on the defensive? Keeping Evil Eye or Call Down Thunder queue'd as you run past some one who tries to hit you, WHILE dodging obstacles is a pain in the ass. You can't use short movement clicks because you have to have a skill queued or you take a hit, and essentially get your ass handed to you, but you can't use long movement clicks because you are dodging trees, rocks, signs, animals, players etc. It's a pain in the ass from my stand point, but I also don't use that client that automatically re-queues a skill, which is pretty cheap IMO.

I like shooting people in the face so if you guys could add Steel tipped arrows that have a % Armor pierce I could give a rats ass what happens with MOO MOO COMBOOT. Or for that matter IROn tipped Arrows.

Speaking of shooting people in the face. How come no one brings rbows to raids any more? I watched Apex's stream on the last battle between Dis and AD, but while everyone was stacking coins with call down thunder, would it have REALLY hurt to also shoot people? Unless your agi rapes their agi, call down thunder is a pretty long cool down, at least long enough to get off a single shot. You might not do "much" damage, but you will if nothing else hurt their armor, and after a few shots, they will be naked.

Remove movement combat, buff archers, maybe do some more updates on standing combat that going to make more chances to guys who got less stats then their enemy to win.
