dead crap=unoccupied

A noob wants his nice hermit spot to be alone in the woods. Not one screen away from 2 claimed palli bases. Exploring isn't cool when all possible good land is already taken. Your never going to find a good undiscovered spot. If you go in a cave you don't mine around, you look for where someone already mined. And by this late in the world, why mine anyway? you can just find a random house with steel in it in the middle of the woods (this actually happened)...

And no, I dont get bored till 6 months... And I'm not the only one who wants a reset.

I find that pretty entertaining though. I like this ruined landscape. I found 2 merch robes in a random broken place a couple weeks ago. Sword in another place, cupboard of leather there too. It was fun.

Ruins are more interesting and dynamic than exploring an untouched world. The Worldgen hasn't really changed since World 3, you've seen one SG you've essentially seen them all.
Hearthlings: Marona; Chamberlain (retainer alt), Vincavec (shaman of the Dryad Wells Forest)

A poll would be pointless, world resets are not done on a whim and nothing in Haven is done on popular request.

But it's fun :)

I find that 50% of the fun is knowing you are doing something productive. Early world things feel much more productive then late world.

Like if you just decided that for fun you are going to make a new char and start over it wouldn't be that fun. If he reset the world and you had to start over though it would be fun ;)

i dont understand how you find it productive to build your chars and towns when its announced that the world gets reset regularly or early enough not to bore players. im not so interested in repeating the same things over every world regularly, only to see whatever i build get gone soon to repeat over again.

I concur. I'm not a fan of world resets because I do play 30/7 when the world starts so I will have something mid world or late world, not so I can just play when the world starts. Frequent world starts in a game like this are worse than dying on all your characters and all their inherits because you also lose all your progress on the base and that's terrible. This game should NOT have world resets at all, but just some way to let new people get closer to pro people by, for example, increasing quality diminishing return or making some kind of stat cap.

As for your last sentence, no. I am dead set against artificial limitations like that. It does not serve a new person to treat them so. They need to learn and one of the best ways of doing so is learn to make do with less. It is easier with great stats and resources yes but you can also thrive with less.

As for world resets they should not be rushed. I agree with that.

New people can't participate in the node contest, can't make good trade threads, can't participate in combat against vets, can't get good seeds quickly unless being given them, etc. It's just unfair.
