Cannot connect to the server - "Connection timed out" message keeps popping out. Can't wait, too excited to get into this game :)

i couldnt even get this webby or forum up from my home yesterday wednesday evening, the internet browser just kept saying the link to the webby was broken or that there was a problem with the coding in the link?? wierd, i tryed typing the web adress freehand and i tryed using the fav link i always use, nothing worked, and this was during all evening yesterday. i tryed logging on to several other webbys, no problem there at all. its hard to belive its just my comp. anyone else having this issue?

And to judge from Morgant's post, possibly he/she had the same problem.

Heh. You may have noticed that it was just lagging a tiny bit.

The reason is to be found in the fact that Apache was hammered to the degree where it started so many worker processes that it swapped out the game server almost entirely, which made it kinda hard for it to work properly. The solution is to be found in two things; first of all, the server will soon be given more RAM (Thanks for the donations that payed for it!), and second, Apache should still be moved to a machine of its own. It's just a bit of work involved in the latter, so I have yet to do that.

Since the game was clearly unplayable anyway, I stopped the game server without advance warning for a while to let Apache finish whatever it was doing.
