That was the intention; it's just that we tried to offset it with the points that 1) it should be hard for one man alone to maintain a village, and 2) expanding the village a lot with many authority objects should be at least a bit costly, so that the area a village is able to claim is reasonably well related to how many active players it has.

I guess we hit a point too close to the other side of the spectrum right now. To begin with, the general LP-to-authority conversion ratio is probably quite a bit too low, and it's quite possible that the individual authority objects have too high a drain, too. I'll change it soon.

Not possible, definate.

A bit low? it's roughly 12 LP to 1 Authority point (with the drain being quite harder)

Sign on: Harvest and re-plant approx 100 units of Wheat.

Start:
- 53939 Village Auth out of 385000
- 4,932 Personal LP

Finish:
- 54,850 Village Auth
15,781 Personal LP

+911 Village Auth
+10,849 Personal LP

12 Personal LP == +1 Village Auth

We have to earn 4.6 Million LP to get Village Auth to maximum. [quote]

If you're thwe only person online and your village is close to the 50K, in order to preserve the security, you have to LP grind, you can't really go off and do non or low LP related tasks (exploring, mapping, looking for a mine, taming etc etc)

It does seem a little extreme atm, but I think it is a step in the right direction. The Barb/civ slider now has some relevance.

I can't see how these previous posts of LP per authority gains are accurate, personally I gained 100k LP over 5 hours and the authority dropped almost 50k. I dont remember exactly what the authority was when the update was applied but i know it was around 120k-150.
Now do personal claims on village claim territory affect the decay? because there are probably 5 claims at least on the area.

when i logged in my village mates were complaining about authority dropping so i went out hunting and while i was online it went up 30k. i logged out for an hour or so, came back. it had lost more than 30k. that is rediculous. its okay while iam online, but if i go to sleep for 8 hours, is it gonna drop from 250,000 to 0? because at that rate, it would.

our village claim on another resource is below 50%, it will be gone by tonight most likely. so 250,000 to 0 in a day.

Depends on the stats of the individuals within the village i guess.

Villages is still to easy to maintain. You should add more complecity:

- Village idol is a village god that consume LP of it followers.
- So when god is hungry he must drain LP directly from village members.
- If member haven't free LP, it should drain HHP from that member, even if them offline.

So - you need to scrificed your time to your village god or leave. Also died offline players will solve problem of exiling oflline village members.

Playing H&H should also require a USB device that attaches to your computer desk and periodically kicks you in the nuts.

That is entirely punishing for those that goes away from the game (especially for real life reasons like moving, final exams, overtimes week) as well as forcing people to save up on LP that would be productive instead.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.

No point. You have choice - to be a villager or no to be a villager. So village gods do not need any lazy offline members and thouse members should be punished, as other members should do their work for maintance village.
