then get better stats, learn the nuances of the combat system.

And we're back to the point where 400 UAC guy blows 300 UAC guy away. What else do you want to do in that matter? Guess it's nothing - every other way of dealing with such superior power is just gone when you remove the penalty completely.

Exactly. What I'm saying is that movement combat is that "tactical element". The point is that I want to be able to beat people with higher stats than me by being smarter and better than them. Right now you cannot do that in standstill combat.

Mike Tyson vs baby...?
Mike Tyson is skilled and KNOWS HOW TO FIGHT.
Compare this: If a little ninja fights a brute retard ninja will win.

there are also things such as weapon quality, armor quality, and food stats (which imo an argument could be made that these things should matter more than LP)

Obviously the big issue is the 0 defense while moving I thought that was obvious. Remove that. The only reason I can think that was put in the first place is maybe to make running away from a fight very hard. Well if you really want that then just have an ability that slows a running opponent to a crawl but doesn't do anything else. Call it hamstring or whatever. And if it makes running away too hard then just have another ability my kingdom for a horse or some such where you just drop random equipped inventory but you get a huge speed boost long enough to escape with your life. This way the moral winner of the fight at least gets some sweet loot. Work of months should never ever be destroyed in seconds just because. Penalties that hurt yes but raids and fights take so little effort compared to the grind that is creating stuff. And there's always scents if stuff needs to be permanent.

Perhaps it could be made a bit more balanced, when moving weight could just become half or something instead of all the way down to 0. But without movement stuff combat would be quite dull, game would become much more grind-y for those of us who like to fight :(

Don't you get it? Some people enjoy killing stronger people. If you like grinding UA like crazy and (when movement cmb is removed) killing anyone you see with no effort or competition...
Damn.

No, you don't get it, a 200 lvl fighter shouldn't have a chance against a 400, 600, or a 90000000000000000 lvl fighter.

It's like a 5 yr old kicking Jackie Chan's ass, because his pants got caught on a nail or something. ARG!

Joojoo as I said, UA should be compared with muscles and strength, and movement with skill.
Jackie Chan isn't as strong as you think, but he's very skilled.
He can beat some kind of gym steroid addict.
