I really don't understand how this will help alts in the long run. I'm just planning on meeting all of mine in the corner with my group, so unless the world wraps it does not solve the problem long term. My first thought when hearing this was, How will I meet my friends? Then, How will I get my alts? Both solved by meeting in a corner.

Which is why Large factions will take the corners and kill the folks that come that way, so that they have that advantage where others don't. Your alts will get slayed just like the others.

Given enough time and effort anyone can overcome alt limitations. There are far fewer abuses that they may commit if they cannot instantly be teleported to you though. Ultimately the problem boils down to the same problem that always plagues Haven: Teleportation. Whether it's glitching through walls, dropping "murder" scents to teleport alt corpses in front of players, or mass spawning alts to block players in or to act as human walls, ready access teleportation compounds problems. I doubt the ultimate goal is to prevent you from ever meeting with your friends/alts, but more to add cost to it to act as a sort of in-game captcha to meetup.

Would a system where the hearth secret of another whispered to your own hearthfire would act as a sort of locator

I.E you whisper hearthsecret w/e to your fire and after a bit it beacons towards the other players hearthfire.

No teleportation, not a party arrow but a new way to have a general direction of each other.

There use to be a Ring of Brodgar, now there will be 4, one at each corner, but now you'll have to go there nake and by foot.
Well, if you are there in H&H, its because you are looking for the most hardcore survival experience there is, not happy ?
Funny thing is you both could span at 1 screen from NE corner not knowing it, and so decide to reach SW corner to meet each other.

Is anyone else going to play like me? Start. Enjoy the game as a hermit. Let things take their own course. if i get invited to a village? Fine. If a few people are around and I "start" a village fine? But then it's fairly well known that I prefer hermiting so all this "boo hoo! Dey tooks away muh heart secrut!" doesn't make a tinker's damn to me. Some of you REALLY need to check your fucking privilege. We have our Devs back, they presumably will be working on OUR game and not some shitty clone and we finally get what I think we can ALL agree we wanted, Jorb and Loftar back and regular updates. If you really have to play with your buddies, you'll find each other somehow. now quit shitting on it until you've played it.

Finally someone without complaints. Can't agree more. Even tho I will be playing with friends, hearth secrets and stuff doesn't bother me.

Most hermits don't realize that if they die they will be forced to wilderness spawn randomly with there character, the one with the inherited stats. Trying to locate your base again might end up getting the character killed again forcing you to nearly start over from scratch on a new character. Including the fact your gear will be lost before you can get to it, in case it was a non-pvp death, as it will despawn without friends getting to the gear.

You wont be able to alt scout either forcing you into combat where you might want to be more careful.

Its not a positive change for hermits in the least bit. The ones to benefit from this change the most are the larger factions with alot of pvpers.
