Didn't they change there minds on it later? I recall jorb stating they would remove it as alt problem would just be a matter of bringing enough alts to your homebase.

I don't know how i would feel about not being able to respawn at your old base. On one hand it adds a more to your character than just stats and equipment, the value of a character now includes wherever it is they're living. A person with minimal understanding of the map and who wouldn't be able to find their old home have just everything. maybe its just a tiny plot with a house and a couple crops, maybe you just lost access to your whole village and a dozen friends you no longer have any way of contacting. It would add a lot of risk to the game and i feel like it would make people think more carefully about their actions.

It would also place a bigger value on neighbors, and may encourage more friendly interaction between them. if you like where you live and don't want to have to go about finding your old home again (which may be impossible depending on your knowledge of the map itself) you might not be as inclined to risk robbing or attacking other people.

but on the other hand i feel like it would ruin the game for a lot more people than it already does. Lose a bunch of LP and some clothes? sucks, but not the end of the world. Lose EVERYTHING you've done over the last however long? maybe losing your whole village with no easy way to find your old friends? that may be too hardcore for most people.
i really need to find a good signature

IMO the world will begin in this hardcore experimental setting, then there will be a patch to temper this "no TP, no way to find buddy" thing.
Core gamers will just settle while there less motivated partners wait playng another game, waiting for patch/map/exploit/road.

where? respawn by inherit shouldn't create alts unless you find a way to abuse the system.

Well, at least they avoided that mistak-

I don't know what it is about swedes, but you might notice (as I have) that all their games are sort of sadistic.

Even stuff like Magicka has friendly fire - which I enjoy because it's more tactical, but also turns it into a giant clusterfuck.

Make sure you have extra keys around I guess. Since Alting is going to be something that is either; A) Much harder to do or B)Taken care of some magical way, Keys are going to be an interesting mechanic. Especially since you can't just frivolously make a Key Alt with all the time you'll spend to bring them to your base. I'm sure some of the larger factions will still have them, however, hermits may not be able to do so as well.

Extra key at home so you don't have to bash in your gates I guess.

Just googles Magicka and the graphics, color tones, proportions, point and angle of veiw, screen size, etc are awsome, would be a perfect inspiration for H&H desing IMO.
