Honestly, Swedish is such an objectively superior language that we have very much considered doing all text in Swedish only. Arguably y'all have some sort of moral duty to learn a cultured tongue anyway.

Kaios wrote:I don't know why you think I'm mad I am being 100% serious, additions like that are fluff I don't know how you can possibly think they add any amount of fun to the game at all.

Woohoo I made a skull throne!! You can... look at it... and... sit on it... and...

...? Seriously?

First of all, skull thrones are awesome. Secondly, this nonsense can be said about absolutely any single piece of content in the game, but at the end of the day it is precisely the concert of all those particulars that *is* the game. Without actual food items, for example, the entire FEP system is nothing. So, sure, perhaps sweet beets aren't the most exciting thing, but are you really saying that we shouldn't add any food items ever? The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

What would be a fun addition?

You yourself are boring fluff content, sir.

Look, you're misunderstanding what I am saying. Decorations are cool, food items are cool, lots of shit like that is COOL! How the hell am I going to have fun with something like a skull throne though after I've made it, it's a fucking decoration, is there some magic mechanic attached to it that teleports me to Death's front door when I sit down on it or something crazy like that? That would be fun.

I'm talking about additions like the Darkness on Salem, interesting lore related adventures I can have. Why in the world would a glorified chair be fun to anyone beyond the process of making the damn thing.

You yourself are boring fluff content, sir.

I'm all for the right for people to have their own opinion and stuff but the idea that fluff content like skull thrones is boring and not fun is just straight up incorrect. Unless you're one of those people that think games are all about minmaxing everything and not fun stuff for the sake of fun stuff or whatever
Forgive me for girling up for a moment but there are a lot of games these days that have objects that are purely for decoration, absolutely nothing else, they serve no purpose but to look cool

question for the devs or anyone who knows-

one issue in haven is that everyone looks the same. dhelm, b12, vap, merch, rboots, ctc, lpants, gaunts, bmask

in hafen will there be a wide choice of items to make your char look unique?

Haha, idk. It feels pretty useless to even implement it when saving down the raw map data in a custom client is a thing. We were very young and naive when we implemented cartography.

Do something useful with it, as in needing to make those maps to build or maintain the roads, use them for moving faster in mapped territory, as a curio, etc.

borka wrote:The whole Alt debate is just forcing restricted playstyles

Well, there is a difference in needing to make alts to manage your village(s) and claims and/or avoid certain game mechanics as much as possible vs wanting to do different things with different characters. It's not like we have a dozen different character classes with three or four different specializations each.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

So has anyone made a skull throne? Is there any way to check how many are currently created in the world? That would be an interesting number to know.

Mental note: No furniture to be implemented. Kaios finds it boring.
