Can we all just ignore trolls, STOP FEEDING THEM #triggered
Morpheus: I imagine that right now, you're feeling a bit like Alice. Hmm? Tumbling down the rabbit hole?
Neo: You could say that.
Morpheus: I see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he is expecting to wake up. Ironically, that's not far from the truth. Do you believe in fate, Neo?
Neo: No.

If a few people are around and I "start" a village fine? But then it's fairly well known that I prefer hermiting so all this "boo hoo! Dey tooks away muh heart secrut!" doesn't make a tinker's damn to me. Some of you REALLY need to check your fucking privilege. We have our Devs back, they presumably will be working on OUR game and not some shitty clone and we finally get what I think we can ALL agree we wanted, Jorb and Loftar back and regular updates. If you really have to play with your buddies, you'll find each other somehow. now quit shitting on it until you've played it.

yes, but you're a pariah

It's a bit off topic, but I'm very sad about your sig linking a dead video now. I was looking forward to goat yellin'.

On topic wise appropriate amounts of fluff can help flesh out a game world and make it feel real. Immersion always makes a better game. Besides which, art assets and coding assets rarely overlap. Fluff content isn't really going to interfere with the production rate of non-fluff content.

But I am starting to worry that the game is not going to get the same population like the beginnings of haven did.

Of course not, that would be terrible. I'm expecting ten times that amount.

I'm expecting 50 times that amount. This game is hyped by me and me 5-6 irl friends. I expect groups like ours exist in many places around the world.

I've warmed up to the new system of random hearth spawns, but it is likely a case of stockholmes syndrome, as I have no say in the matter.
I will look forward to it.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I have my fingers crossed that the system will come alongside better systems of navigation and travel so as to alleviate the trouble of finding friends. We'll see though when it launches.

My strategy is to trick myself into having extremely low expectations of the game (even though I have been uber-hyped for months/years)... Then I can be pleasantly surprised at every turn!

SOooo yeah. I barely wanna play. Only kinda.

2/10 would play perhaps.

I hope it will be more like game for all, not only those who want kills.
