Who are you to say what is and what isn't intended purpose? I intended them to be walls and storage and the way they worked agreed with my intentions. And keep it up with your so called trolling it only shows what bitter loser you are.

It's better to use wicker basket signs instead of fence signs since you can walk between the wicker signs.

Also how is using signs to store, abusing?

hey guys we should add construction sign 1day lifespan for branch only signs good idea right

We should makes all buildable strcutures last 1 second while we are at it -.-

Mock trolling aside, will we have something like this again? I don't want to start pruning my tree farm and storing branches just to have them purged again.

Well, until the fence gates stop getting cows stuck in them unless you align them PERFECTLY with the gap, I'd say a sign for a gate is not abuse.

I am a regular player since I joined playing to my heart content as a hermit in the world of chaos. I understand that the dev are trying to make the game run more smoothly and as a suggestion, I approve their overall goal and getting rid of all those useless sign post with one stick in them, the terrain is so much more cleaner and I don't have to walk around all the traps set in the world. With that said I also agree with a few of the people here, I think sign post, and I assume most people use wicker baskets or wicker fence sign post for hunting and things, should have a decay life like the finish product, however how can a dev put time limit on the most used sign post in the game without in the long run affecting all the sign posts. With that said I suggest a new addition to the storage units, just for build able items (sticks, blocks, bricks, etc...) that takes the place of sign post that you would have to build depending on what your storing, like sticks maybe a one tile feature, blocks - a firewood pile maybe a 2x1 or 1x2 tiles, that you can store these resources in. Each of the units set to hold 50, 100, or what is deemed worthy the amount you need to have for the game to do specific jobs. If you need more storage you build another storage unit. I know they build storage units as far back as the Egyptians. Now I will admit I use sign post for storage as well, and hate to have my palisade storage post removed by the dev's but maybe we can find a way to mass store things that make sense and that work, and won't prohibit the functions of they game, we all bash each other and yet, how many actually spent time this past three hours coming up with positive solutions for the dev's, before I started writing this, I think I counted six users id's that made suggestions. I know everyone will bash this post, and I don't care, maybe while bashing maybe we will find a solution that fits the game and everyone at the same time

I agree with Dataslycer with the pruning tree farm for I know how hard it is for my trees to regen their branches

I m not a coder/programmer or whatever in that profession , but I thinks if a item have lots info inside this consume more memory than one that just is a generic one.
So, items that have a “clock” inside like crops, cheese or many others use more memory because these items have more info inside. Palisades have different HP in all is parts. Every decay hit a palisade as different HP. Crops as Q, chickens, cows, etc.
For reduce the amount of writing I just say that there is a lot of items that consume memory in this game,

In my little opinion theres at least 2 ways to solve this thinking about this 10 min.
1: Quit maps. Or a entire supergrid. This time warn first. :D
2: Change some items that dont alter too much gameplay into a version without too much info. No Q, less decay info.

Another way, more complicated maybe, if the memory consumption is linked to the items players make. Ex: I have 52 cupboards filled with food.
Maybe my food decay?
Maybe I need certain lvl for make more than 5 cupboards?

Every time someone make a item the item is owned by that person, and after this person lost is char for no use, in a month + - , the claim and all the owned items gone. Trade mean change the ownership. I think something about that is already made looking at theft scents.

I post with the wish of help. I ask certain ppl to keep insults and fool post at minimum please.
