Go play an FPS or mount and blade or something. As someone pointed out, this ISN'T a combat game, combat is just one VERY small facet of it that people with no REAL LIFE accomplishments use to crutch up their self esteem. lol

HIGHER NUMBER v LOWER NUMBER is boring and really awful when it comes to shit like this. There should be some element of personal "skill" that allows players with at least somewhat similar stats (100ua vs 75ua) to have a competitive fight.

Movement combat is a glitch and shouldn't exist, but the "welp I'm bigger I automatically win" aspect is lame.

I didn't actually mean for this to be the final form of combat. I like skill based combat myself. Mora like in chess though, not like in whack-a-mole. But it seems nowadays the whack-a-mole players are those who call the chess player a noob that needs to man up ^^

I guess it would be enough to just remove movement combat from the game for now, then titans play a bigger role again. Those were the reasons w1-3 were relatively stable and safe btw.

@Nooby: I don't really see you adressing any of my points there, other than saying violence is a part of politics. That is nonsense btw.

To quote Clausewitz: "War is the continuation of politics with other means." This way around it makes a lot more sense ;)

But I am sure you read him anyway :P

"I like skill based combat myself."
"If you like skill based games go play DotA"
You're basically telling yourself to play DotA burg

and with movement, i can kill a 500 ua character with 50 ua (which takes only a day or 2 with the right curios). combined with unlimited alts and parallel offline studies, puts us squarely in the territory of zerg-rushing low investment combat alts and taking away the agony of permadeath, as well as nullifying the purpose of quality and industry.

You would need a huge amount of strength to hit them hard enough. 50 ua is underestimating the minimum by a lot.

They really should just take out moving hits and call the thunder and it would probably fix things. Skill based combat would still come through because you would need to pick your moments to go in for coins and stuff with charge or dash, and it would become less of a staring contest while stacking coins. Honestly, i'd think the number of people who actually die to moving hits unless they're trying to run away is pretty slim, but it's really annoying knowing that if you take 1 wrong step or lag your char will probably be dead.

Most of you are also missing a key point in assuming that Haven's combat system without movement doesn't require skill. In W3 there was no better fighter than Dataslycer not because of the stats of his character, but because of his extreme knowledge of the combat system. I honestly think standing combat takes much more skill to master than moving. Although being out statted in standing combat makes it a much harder victory than in moving, it still is very possible.

50 was just a number i pulled out of my ass, doesn't matter how much UA i have though if i've taken out the def bar in one shot.

but to address your point, let's add a little time for cheese and HQ gear too

your UA has nothing to do with the amount of damage you do, your strength versus their armor, basicly a 1 UA guy with 3000 strength can ko a guy with 500 UA if he lags

It does but you can only beat people who are like 30% higher statted than you at the most.

Also, I released a guide that tells the public how to beat anybody in standstill combat who has similar or lower stats than them.
